Dual Enrollment

Belleview High School AFJROTC gives cadets an opportunity unlike many other AFJROTC programs. Selected cadets, typically juniors and seniors, are able to enroll in honors-level AFJROTC classes through Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

What is it?  This dual enrollment class provides honors credit like an AICE class.
Cadets in the Embry Riddle dual enrollment course will be earning college credit (3 hours per course) while attending high school. They will be Embry-Riddle students, with Embry-Riddle e-mail accounts and access to Embry-Riddle online classroom material. Most importantly, upon successful completion of the course, cadets will have a college transcript from Embry-Riddle -- at zero cost.

Is it still ROTC?  Yes, absolutely!
Cadets in this class will do Academics, Drill, and PT, but their academics will be college-level. We are currently teaching this class during 6th Period. The other 5 periods of ROTC are the "regular" curriculum of AS/LE, rotating each semester between Lt Col Cook and MSgt Young.

Who can sign up?  The minimum requirement is to be a Junior or Senior with a 2.50 Cumulative GPA or above, on a 4.0 scale. We will, however, accept selected Sophomores with a 3.00 or above.

How can I sign up?  Interested and qualified cadets should contact their counselor to discuss whether this opportunity is a good fit.  We encourage all interested cadets to keep their grades up and to do well in AFJROTC, so that they will be competitive for this opportunity during their time in the program!
